Mumuni Samyuri

Agribusiness Lead - MBC Africa

Mumuni Samyuri is a dedicated research and development professional with 10 years of experience in water, sanitation, hygiene (WASH), agribusiness, and microfinance. He specializes in implementing innovative solutions to support vulnerable populations and promote financial inclusion. Currently, he serves as Operations Lead for Mobile Business Clinic Africa (MBC Africa) and Agribusiness Associate for the USAID-funded Feed the Future Market Systems and Resilience (MSR) Activity, focusing on capacity building for startups and MSMEs. Additionally, Mumuni is the Managing Partner of Selvan and Salia Micro Credit Limited and CEO of Samklima Ltd., spearheading the Subiz financial inclusion model that has registered over 5,000 partners in Northern Ghana.

With a degree in Agriculture Technology from the University for Development Studies and a master’s in Development Management from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Mumuni has successfully managed projects such as integrated aquaculture and crop production, and initiatives like SMARTer WASH and a self-billing pilot for Ghana Water Company in collaboration with international partners.

In research and evaluation, Mumuni has led baseline studies, gender assessments, and evaluations of WASH services for organizations like Plan International Ghana, USAID, and IRC Ghana, focusing on socio-economic impacts and infrastructure performance.
