Emi-Beth Aku Quantson, Founder and Chief Caffeination Officer of Kawa Moka, is transforming the African narrative by creating local value. She sources premium Robusta coffee from rural Ghanaian farmers, primarily women, and processes it locally, creating jobs and empowering women throughout the value chain.
Her innovation extends to repurposing coffee production waste into a skincare line and operating a solar-powered roasting facility.
A BSc (Cum Laude) graduate from Ashesi University, Emi-Beth began her entrepreneurial journey on campus before a six-year career at PwC in Ghana and Kenya, where she also earned her ACCA qualification. In 2015, she founded Kawa Moka, revolutionizing Ghana’s coffee industry by boosting local consumption and global production.
Her achievements include serving on the Board of the Specialty Coffee Association, the GiZ Agribiz Steering Committee, and being an alumna of the US State Department Fortune/Vital Voices Programme.
