Appiah Wiafe-Adofo

Interim Country Director & ACTIVATE Project Director, WUSC

Appiah is an experienced educationalist with 15 years in project management, teaching, and training for nonprofits and government agencies. Skilled in developing human capital and student-centric pedagogies, she believes in the transformative power of education.

Currently, she serves as the Interim Country Director and ACTIVATE Project Director for the World University Service of Canada (WUSC) in Ghana, focusing on improving entrepreneurship ecosystems and workforce development for youth. Previously, she directed the INVEST Project, enhancing economic empowerment for marginalized young women across Ghana through innovative programming and partnerships.

Appiah also served as the West Africa Director for Days for Girls International, creating opportunities for women and girls related to menstruation health. She has also worked with Cocoa360, Jiv Daya Foundation, and Commit!. Appiah holds a Master’s in Education & International Development from University College London and a Bachelor’s in Political Science and Classical Civilization from Howard University. Outside of her work, she enjoys exploring new cultures as a foodie.
